With corporate governance and investor protection being some of the main criteria in the business, MHTBL conducts appropriate and consistent checks to ensure that funds are managed according to the established guidelines, regulatory restrictions and internal risk exposure limits and informs investment managers and other respective counterparts accordingly. Controls are conducted based on certain criteria such as security types, geographic sectors, economic sectors, market and credit exposure, credit ratings, etc.

MHTBL provides furthermore services with regard to the statutory and regulatory reporting of Luxembourg and off-shore domiciled funds, companies and other investment vehicles. The services include: 

  • Regulatory reporting to Luxembourg authorities for Luxembourg domiciled funds on a regular basis 
  • Regulatory reporting to Japanese authorities for Luxembourg and off-shore domiciled funds, companies and other investment vehicles, which are publicly distributed in Japan, on a semi-annual and annual basis in cooperation with legal advisors 
  • Financial reporting under Luxembourg GAAP or other required reporting standards on a semi-annual or annual basis. 
  • Coordination with the funds’, companies’ and other investment vehicles’ external auditor
